Alan is missed by
AFC Hilltop's Boondocker
A gentleman and a gentle man.....
JIM FRANCONE
WOW, Can't believe it's been 3
years now since that horrible day.
You and I went the rounds buddy,
and in the end neither of us won.
We had a bond that others won't
understand.

Gabe was probably the most
beautiful lab I've had, but his beauty
was matched by his brawn.  We
had a lot of ups and downs, but in
the end, the Qualifying WIN with
Gabe was beyond a proud me, and
I miss him for that. If only it could
have continued that way.....
Not a day of dog training or a day at a trial
goes by that I don't think of Alan.  My very
first dog came from his sire FC AFC
Beavertail's Gentleman Sam.  I had such a
looked to me like Superman and I've always
thought of him that way.  Alan spent as
much time helping others in the sport as he
did training his own dogs.  He was there to
lend an ear or a helping hand and no matter
how his dog did, he seemed to always find
a smile.  On the day Alan died, it was a
beautiful sun shiny day and he was walking
off the line with Boon after running a water
blind.  Some folks say he was lucky to die
doing what he loved, I didn't feel that way.
He should have been here to see Boon
retire, to work his upcoming wonder
Promise Keeper, and to retire from work
himself.  Alan founded and was the
president of Catey Controls.  He was
scheduled to judge the National the next
year.
I was Blessed to call him my friend.
Founding member of the
TREASURE STATE
RETRIEVER CLUB
Jim shot and threw countless birds
for me over the years, spent
countless days training together.
He was a constant site at the
retriever grounds, either working
with one of his many labs or
working on the property.  He has
deep roots in Elk Park and will
never be forgotten.
I'm Still Here

Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace!
