Alan is missed by AFC Hilltop's Boondocker
A gentleman and a gentle man.....

WOW, Can't believe it's been 3 years now since that horrible day. You and I went the rounds buddy, and in the end neither of us won. We had a bond that others won't understand. Gabe was probably the most beautiful lab I've had, but his beauty was matched by his brawn. We had a lot of ups and downs, but in the end, the Qualifying WIN with Gabe was beyond a proud me, and I miss him for that. If only it could have continued that way.....

I'm Still Here Friend, please don't mourn for me I'm still here, though you don't see. I'm right by your side each night and day and within your heart I long to stay. My body is gone but I'm always near. I'm everything you feel, see or hear. My spirit is free, but I'll never depart as long as you keep me alive in your heart. I'll never wander out of your sight- I'm the brightest star on a summer night. I'll never be beyond your reach- I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach. I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around and the pure white snow that blankets the ground. I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond, The clear cool water in a quiet pond. I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring, The first warm raindrop that April will bring. I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine, and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine. When you start thinking there's no one to love you, you can talk to me through the Lord above you. I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees, and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze. I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep. I'm the smile you see on a baby's face. Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace! Author Unknown
COSMO'S AFTERSHOCK "RICHTER" 7/6/96 - 5/11/09

Richter came to me as a 3 month old pup and already a big guy with ears down to his knees, or so it seemed. He made himself at home immediately and was always comfortable here. I got Richter for a field trial dog after being out of the game while in college. He was a MARKING machine and a crazy youngster like his sire Cosmo. However, at 18 months old it was discovered that Richter had idiopathic epilepsy. We had to put him on 2 anti-seizure meds by the time he was 2 yrs old. ultimately we could not run him in field trials, but despite that the dog lived a fantastic life. He was an inspiration to me that no matter what you've got, 'always have fun', and that he did. I will miss him terribly. We had a lot of fun and he did too. He loved a new puppy and took care of them as if they were his. He love the ocean beach, little kids and me!
